Dear Friends,
Happy Thanksgiving. As Americans, we have so much to be thankful for today. First and foremost I am thankful for the sacrifices of our troops, many of whom will be celebrating Thanksgiving overseas today to ensure a free and strong United States. It reinforces how lucky many of us - myself included - are to share this holiday with our family and friends. I am also thankful for the trust that the people of Southeastern Massachusetts have placed in me by once again electing me as their Representative in Congress.
Though having served only one term in Congress, Keating has proven himself a capable representative of the people. He has been remarkably effective on issues such as homeland security. His prosecutorial experience served him well as a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and ranking member of the Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations and Management. As a freshman member of Congress, William Keating has accomplished much, but his signature achievement was his willingness to fight Big Oil and support small businesses in his district.
